China's Rule
The Chinese started to control Mongolia in the 1600s. They ruled for hundreds of years. -

In the 17th century, after a famine in the Fujian province of China, a lot of the people migrated to Taiwan. -
Manchu Dynasty
In 1683, the Manchu Dynasty conquered Taiwan. -
Japan's Seize
After winning a war against China in 1895, Japan took control of Taiwan. -

The Chinese controled Mongolia until Mongolia finally gained independance in 1911. -
Mongolian People's Republic
WIth the influence of Russia, Mongolia became the Mongolian People's Republic in 1924. The Communists ruled for 75 years. -
Back to China
After Japan's defeat in World War Two, China reqained control of Taiwan. -
Republic of China
China moved their government to Taiwan and nemed it the Republic of China. They do not consider Taiwan a country just another province. -
No More Communist Party
After 72 years of Communist rule, the Communist Party lost its power in Mongolia after the Soviet Union fell in 1989.
