Module Five Data Timeline

  • Early 2017

    Initial telephone survey was conducted by the CDC on the residents of Alabama.
  • Later 2017

    Heart Matters retrieved this data from the BRFSS database and stored the data in a CSV format on a hard drive. An initial analysis was conducted to ascertain if there was a lack of healthcare in Alabama and why.
  • Early 2018

    Heart Matters expanded their offices and received funding to use a SQL database. The IT administrator physically copied the data set and codebook onto a flash drive, delivered it to the new location, and uploaded the data into the new system.
  • June 2018

    Heart Matters hired a new data analyst to re-review the master data set and determine the top three health concerns the new facility should put their attention on. The data analyst discovered that the CSV file was not 100% conpatible with the SQL database during the migration resulting in data loss.
  • February 2024

    Hear Matters hired me to consult with them on the available data and help identify the missing data and evaluate the validity of the data.
