9/11 - The beginning
Al Qaeda attacks the United States by killing many of our citizens and instilling fear of a repeat attack into others around the country. -
Russia
a terrorist group holds hostage 40 people and kills a couple more hundred. Holding hostages is a tactic that is being used to prolong the amounts of fear placed on a group of people. -
Children
Children are now being used as targets because in most societies we believe that children need to be protected at all costs. -
London Bombings
Bombings are becoming more elaborate and terrorists are taking more time to plot out their plan of action instead of random less "exciting" attacks -

Lone Gunman
Another new tactic is for terrorist groups to send one person to do the dirty work. They don't need to send multiple people into one area instead they can send one or two people to do the same amount of damage. -
Suicide Bombings
The double suicide bombing in Beirut is just one of the MANY examples of how common suicide bombings have become since the 9/11 attacks. -
Russia Interference with US Elections
No other country has had the ability to control people's emotions like Russia has the US. I assume that this will become a trend and that more and more people will begin to use cyber attacks as another form of terrorism.
