Boxer Rebellion
This rebellion was over foreigners in China and the government, this rebellion was a Chinese secret society, that ran as a violet campaign. This took place in China. This rebellion had started in 1899 and ended in 1901. They fought over economic issues and the disputes the Chinese and foreign missionaries fought over. -
Fall of the Qing Dynasty
Sun Zhongshan cause this to happen. It was a Revive China Society in Hawaii that happened through 1911-1912. It happened because of many reasons including:Bad harvest, warfare, overpopulation, and economic disasters. -
Establishment of the Republic of China
Mao Zedong had declared this republic. He tried to over throw the Qing Dynasty. It happened in Nanjing. It ended over two thousand years of imperial rule in China. -
May Fourth Movement
Protested by students. It was a Chinese anti-imperialist, cultural,and political movement. It took place in Beijing, and happened in the 1900 hundreds. Happened because they wanted Paris Peace Conference, and refused to sign the Versailles Treaty. -
Second Sino-Japanese War
War in between Republic of China and Empire of Japan. Happened near Beijing, and lasted from July 7, 1937-September 9,1945. They fought because they wanted to expand Japan. -
People’s Republic of China established
Mao Zedong to create the People’s Republic of China. This happened in Tiananmen Square in Peking, in the 19 hundreds. He wanted to proclaim the founding of the PRC. -
Great Leap Forward
Mao Zedong launched the campaign to reconstruct the country. This took place at the CCP, and happened from 1958-1962. They wanted to improve the agriculture in the machinery cheaper. -
1960’s Cultural Revolution
Mao Zedong realized the Soviet Union was moving to fast in revisionist direction. He realized this is the 19 hundreds. Happened in the peoples Republic of China. They reflected and influenced the decades social upheavals. -
1970’s Economic Reform
The Communist Party began this reform in two stages. It happened in 1970, and happened all around China. They began this because of the stagnation from the death of Mao Zedong. -
Tiananmen Square Massacre
It was the Tiananman Square protests led by students and happened in Beijing. It was in the year 1989. They were protesting because of the death of Hu Yaobang.
