The Chinese Exclusion Act was renewed for ten more years. -
Ellis Island
Ellis Island was the main point of entry to US for immigrants coming across the Atlantic Ocean between 1892-1954. -
Tenement House Act
This act created better conditions for tenement houses and established the Tenement House Commission to ensure landlords were following the new laws put into place.
