After he became Emperor of france, he tried to invade Great Britain, but Admiral Horatio Nelson defeated him at the Battle of Trafalgar, because of the dominance of the British navy. -

Tsar Alexander I. broke the continental system, Because of that, Napoleon assembled the Grande Armée and invaded Russia. In the first part, the russians witdrew from their lands and used the scorched-earth tactic. Later, the opponents fought at Borodino but noone could win and the russians witdrew again. Because of the russian winter a lot of his soldiers died. -

Napoleon was totally defeated by the sixth coalition in leipzig and exiled to Elba. -

At Waterloo he was defeated by the british-dutch-belgian and the prussian army. After his defeat, he was exiled to St. Helena
