  • The Birth

    The Birth
    In a town called Millville, New Jersey, Michael Nelson Trout was born to his two parents, Jeff and Debbie. His dad Jeff, played baseball in the minor leagues until a knee injury ended his career. Mike was born into baseball, playing at a young age, and quite well. Playing with 12 year olds as a 9 year old, and still succeeding.
  • High School

    High School
    Mike Trout attended Millville High, and played for the Millville Senior High Thunderbolts. He was one of the best athletes at the school, his speed being his strongest tool. Mike pitched, played shortstop, and center field. Trout was making headlines as a sophomore, competing with seniors and juniors from around the area.
  • Draft Day

    Draft Day
    While in high school, Trout had many scouts on him. The Angels east scout, Greg Morhardt, loved trout. Greg also happened to be a former teammates of Mike's dad. Greg called Mike the best athlete around. On June 9th, Trout was drafted by the Angels, and signed with a 1.2 million dollar signing bonus.
  • Minors

    Minors
    Trout, in his first minor league game, reached base 6 times. People had trouble getting the center fielder out due to his great speed. Trout excelled in the minors. He was promoted in the middle of the 2010 season, up to class-A ball. He then started the 2011 season in Class-AA ball, and still excelled, with 28 stolen bases in a small amount of games.
  • The Call

    After the All-Star Break, the Angels decided to reward Trouts efforts and called him up to the Majors after out fielder Peter Bourjos went on the DL. Trout was the youngest player to be on the team since 1971.
  • First Major League Hit

    First Major League Hit
    Mike Trouts first Major League hit came on July 9. It was an infield single, that Trout beat out due to his great speed. However, Trout stuggled in the Majors, and was sent back down to the Minors.

  • First Home run

    First Home run
    Against the Baltimore Orioels is when Trout first got to touch em all. Mike Trout took a 2-2 fastball to deep left and watched it go. This was Trouts first of 5 home runs in the 2011 40 game season.

  • The Call Part 2

    The Call Part 2
    After being sent back down, Trout excelled even more in the Minors. He got called up again to the Angels, and finished out the season with them.
  • The Take Off

    Trout, now 20 years old, was a completely new player. Stronger, faster, and ready. Trout took the Angels at the end of April and lead them to win their next 32 of 50 games. Trout also robbed JJ Hardy of a home run, and is still known as one of the best MLB plays.
  • First All Star Game

    After a remarkable beginning to the 2012 season, Trout was selected to play in the All Star Game. This was Trouts first of 5 All-Star Games. He went on to win the All Star game MVP award in the 2014 and 2015 All Star Games.
  • MVP

    MVP
    Trout won his first MVP award in 2014, and won another in 2016. This is the highest honor for a player. In 2014, Trout hit 36 home runs, and stole 16 bases. In 2016, he hit 29 home runs and stole 30 bases.
  • 2017

    Where is Trout now? Still on the Angels of course. As of right now, thorugh 35 games, Trout is hitting .352, and already has 12 homeruns. Trout was recently out for a week due to a hamstring issue. In his first 4 games, he has a homerun in each of them. What awaits for Mike Trout? No one knows.
