    A boy by the name of Aylan Kurdi washed up on a beach in Turkey, face down and deceased. Him and his family were on their way to Vancouver, as they were fleeing from Syria. This is important because Syrians are being pushed out of their home and risking their lives in the process of just trying to get to a safe place to live. This needs to be solved as it is an injustice to the Syrian people.

    The four-year-old girl's body was found lifeless on a beach in the coastal town of Cesme in Izmir province. This instance further emphasizes the dire emergency we are in when it comes to immigration and the Syrian people fleeing their country. More than one child has washed up on shore dead, and this is a huge problem.

    More than half the nation's governors say they oppose letting Syrian refugees into their states.Among these 31 states, all but one have Republican governors. This is important because it shows how large-scale of a problem the Syrian migrant issue is. Much of the country is denying these people their right to not be oppressed and it's a problem that needs to be looked at very carefully.

    The Canadian government’s decided to welcome at least 25,000 Syrian refugees over the next few months. This is a step towards peace. Allowing the migrants to have a place they are welcome and free to not be criticised is a huge accomplishment in the world today where all that is happening is they are being denied their rights.

    President Barack Obama drew a comparison between Syrian refugees today and Jewish refugees during World War II. A number of Jewish groups have expressed support for welcoming Syrian refugees to the US, with many drawing comparisons to the plight of Jews during and after the Holocaust. This is very important to the issue of migrants because it shows the gravity of the situation in the fact that even the Jewish people themselves are comparing the migrants to survivors of the Holocaust.
