Napoleon Bonaparte ruled the French from the 18th of May 1804 until the 11th of April 1814. He ruled Italy from the 17th of March 1805 until the 11th of April 1814. -
Peninsular War
A military conflict between Frace, Spain, The United Kingdom and Portugal for the control of the Iberian Peninsula. -
Congress Of Vienna
A conference of ambassadors of European states chaired by Austrian statesmen. Went from September 1814 to June 1815. -
Opium War
A conflict between Britain and China over Britians refusal to stop trading Opium with China. This lasted from the 18th of March 1839 until the 29th of August 1842. -
Signing the Treaty of Nanjing
The signing of this treaty was the end mark of the first Opium War between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and the Qing Dynasty of China. -
Signing of the Treaty of Kanagawa
Commedore Matthew Perry signed a treaty with Japan which allowed him to open up two ports for the Americans to trade from. -
Meji Era
The period of Japanese history from 1868 to 1912 during which Emperor Mutsuhito ruled the country. -
Berlin Conference
Regulated European colonization and the trade in Africa during the Imperialism period. Lasted from November 1884 to sometime in 1885. -
Boxer Rebellion
A group of peasants joined togther and created a secret socitey called the "Righteous and Harmonious Fists" but is normally known as the Boxers. This started in the late 1800's
