With at least 16,594 casualties within a year mainly in public by guillotine, France was put in a state of chaos with revolts and rebellions scatered all over the country. Eventually, Robespierre suffered the same fate as many of his victoms and was executed in public via guillotine. -

America, upset with Japan not allowing any foreign trade, did something about it. Perry, with a handful of naval ships, broke through Japan's defences and proposed that if trade was not open within the next year, they'd come back and obliterate them. Japan obayed, and western influences were now available. -
