Robespierre created the Committee of Public Safety, killing anyone who didn't agree with the revolution. The people were afraid of the committee because it killed many innocent people and some officials. This fear of Robespierre and the committee was called the Reign of Terror. -
Rise of Napoleon
Came to power after Robespierre with a coup d'etat (illegally taking over power). Created the Napoleonic Code. -
Creation of the Haitian Constitution
Toussaint L'ouverture created the constitution, even though Saint-Domingue was still under control of France. The constitution established laws about slavery and banished practice of Voodoo. -

The war between France and Spain that occured when Napoleon lead troops through Spain to get to Portugal. -

This treaty was signed at the end of the Opium War. It gave Britain Hong Kong and allowed them to continue trading with China as a result of winning the war. -
