    In the 14th - 15th centuries the medieval knew little of germs and bacteria but they thought the stench of the rotten carcosses could spread disease and sickness. When opponents used the dead bodies of humans or animals it was immediately considered the Siege a biological weapon.

    The british troops were immune to the small poxs so they can spread it as a biological weapon. Later on they gave infected blankets and handkerchiefs to the Native americans and spreaded from there.
