The American flag is being raised for the first time ever in Detroit. -

Though te British has agreed to leave, they are in no hurry whatsoever. William Hull is governor at the moment and I bet he wants the British gone. -

The settelers have come from very different varieties. Most who have come to the south area of Michigan are New Englanders and New Yorkers. -
Capitol change
Detroit has lost it's place as capitol. It is now Lansing. The reason is that Lansing is more in the center of Michigan. -

Michigan has joined World War 1. Ofcourse Michigan is doing this with the rest of the United states. -

Gerald Ford is now the 38th president and he is from Michigan. -
Population shock
More people are leaving Michigan than coming to Michigan for the first time in history. -
Female Governor
Jennifer M. Granholm has been elected to be the first female governor of Michigan. -
Auto Strike
The auto workers start a strike for two whole days. They want more security while on the job.
