Education
Michelle Obama attended Whitney M. Young Magnet High School (from 1977-1981) where she graduated as class salutatorian. Michelle then attended Princeton university (from 1981-1985), and she went on to earn a degree from Harvard Law School (from 1985-1988). -
Where it all started...
Following her Graduation from Harvard, she worked at a Chicago law firm, where she met her husband, future U.S. president Barack Obama. The two got engaged in 1991 and, then married in 1992. -
Career
Between 1991 and 2005, Michelle worked in corporate law (1991), executive directing (for the Chicago Office of Public Allies in 1993), she joined the University of Chicago as associate dean of student services (1996), and she was also Vice President for Community and External Affairs at the University of Chicago Medical center (2005). -
Michelle's Children
Michelle and Barack's daughter, Malia was born in 1998 and their daughter Sasha was born in 2001. -

In May 2006, Michelle was featured in Essence Magazine as one of "25 of the World's Most Inspiring Women". -
Campaign Trail
In 2007 Michelle scaled back her own professional work to attend to family and campaign obligations during Barack's run for Democratic Presidential nomination. -

In 2012 her husband (Barack Obama), facing a challenging race against nominee Mitt Romney. Michelle Obama diligently campaigned on his behalf, traveling the country, giving talks and public appearances. -

During the 2013 Academy Awards Mrs. Obama became the first First Lady to announce the winner of an Oscar. -
Let Girls Learn
In 2015 Michelle Obama Launched the national campaign, "Let Girls Learn," a global focus on girls' education. -
The end of her term
On January 13, 2017, Obama made her final speech as first lady at the White House, saying "Being your first lady has been the greatest honor of my life and I hope I've made you proud." -
