    In his first season at North Carolina, Micheal was already taking big steps, as he was named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) rookie of the year, and lead the team to the National Championship, where they would beat Georgetown University after Jordan made a clutch jumper. He was named by The Sports News as the college player of the year in both his sophomore and Junior year. After his junior year, he entered the NBA draft and was selected third overall by the Chicago Bulls.

In 1988 he won both the MVP award and Defensive Player of the year award. However, Jordan would not advance to the finals due to the Detroit Pistons until the 1990-91 season.

    After the Chicago Bulls drafter Scottie Pippen, another future All Star, and also aquiring Bill Cartwright, Horace Grant, and John Paxson, and building them around Jordan, the Chicago Bulls went to the finals for the first time and beat Magic Johnson's LA Lakers, winning the NBA title. A year later, the Bulls would beat the Portland Trail Blazers, and to end the 3 peat, would beat the Phoenix Suns.

    After the 3-peat, Jordan would unexpectedly retire from the NBA to play baseball for the minor leagues to fulfill his father's wish to see Michael become a MLB player.     After loosing to the Orlando Magic in the eastern conference finals in the 1995-1996 season, the Chicago Bulls would bounce right back the next season and head to the final once again and play beat the Super Sonics, then play the Jazz the next 2 years, winning both finals. Micheal was named Finals MVP for all of the finals, and after the 1997-1998, he would retire for a second time.

    After being retired for 3 years, Jordan would make a comeback with the Washington Wizards, as he was the owner of them before returning to basketball. The Wizards, they were a very mediocre team before then, but once he joined they immediately became a playoff team. At age 38, he averaged 22 points per game and was an all star for both the 2001-2002 season and the 2002-2003 season.

    Michael would leave a legacy that influence the NBA greatly. Players would look up to Jordan for their inspiration in their game, specifically Kobe Bryant, whose basic game is almost an exact replica of Jordan's game. With his NBA days over, Jordan is considered to be the greatest basketball player of all time.
