Disagreeing with him, Kaz mentioned another plan. -

When he eventually awoke almost nine years later, on February 26, 1984, a nurse noticed him having woken up and quickly alerted a doctor who informed Venom Snake about his medical condition and later told the latter that he had to leave as he was being looked for by enemy forces. -

During a mission on Shadow Moses in February 2005, at a nuclear weapons facility on Alaska, the Special Forces unit FOXHOUND rebelled against the United States government, under the command of Liquid Snake. Their target, a gigantic robotic weapons platform able to independently launch a nuclear warhead at any target on the face of the planet. Their demand was the body of the greatest soldier who ever lived which, through gene therapy, could use to create an army of ultimate soldiers. -

Two years after the Shadow Moses Incident, Solid Snake and Otacon, working as Philanthropy, receive intelligence of a new type of Metal Gear being transported through the Hudson River. As Snake boards the tanker, it's seized by a group of Russian mercenaries led by Revolver Ocelot, intent on stealing the new Metal Gear.
Another two years later and the Big Shell, the offshore clean up facility constructed in its place is taken over by a terrorist faction calling themselves the Sons of Liberty. -

In 2014, the "war economy" is plunging the world into never-ending battle. This fuels the need for private military companies, the five largest of which are owned by a single mother company, Outer Heaven, with Liquid Ocelot at the helm. Liquid Ocelot, a fusion of the consciousness of Liquid Snake and the body of Revolver Ocelot, is once again set on world domination. Solid Snake, now also referred to as Old Snake due to his advanced accelerated aging, is dispatched to assassinate Liquid Ocelot. -

Four years after the events of the Guns of the Patriots Incident, Raiden has been contracted by a private military company in a developing country piecing itself back together after a bloody civil war. Raiden is protecting a VIP, when they are attacked by an organization led by the cyborg Samuel Rodrigues, which eventually leaves Raiden completely defeated. Raiden is reconstructed by his PMC, and his search for Sam and the company he's working for, drives him into a quest for vengeance.
