Sumerians begin to use the wheel on their vehicles 3200 BC. King Gilgamesh rules Ur in 2700 BC. 2330 BC Sargon I conquers most of the Sumer city-states and makes the Akkadian Empire the first empire.

Babylon soon takes over much of Mesopotamia 1792 BC. The first Assyrian Empire is taken over by Babylon 1781. 1750 BC Hammurabi dies and the Babylon Empire begins to fall apart. -
1225 BC the Assyrians capture Babylon. 721 BC King Sargon II takes control of Assyria. 709 BC Sargon takes control of the city of Babylon. 705 BC Sennacherib becomes King and moves The capital Nineveh.
