Stock Market Crash // year of 1929
This event impacted families during that time era and still to this day. The economy is an important part of america that needs to function properly for americans and the trading part of things. People impact the economy by buying, spending, saving, selling, trading and many more things also buying stocks can help and hurt the economy. Families impact this because of the spending they do and where they fit into the economy.The great depression caused a lot of caos in america at that time. -
World war two / 1939
This world war affected many families not just in the area but around the world. The economy was bad after this which affected the spending happening by people. husbands in families fought for the country risking their lives and families at home. Wives did all the house work families during this era i think were very much different than they are in 2018 current day. -
Television // 1955
Television was the next best new thing to have in this time era. Families went out and bought the first tv first made as soon as they could. This made the economy do well because of all the buisness being done just because of a tv coming out. The television only had one or two channels on it but people still wanted this tv in their posession. There was no colored picture it was only white and black. The tv made the economy boom. Families started to be more focused on a tv with family. -
Civil rights movement // 1957
With these students being admitted into an all white school this shook many people up. Most were against it but some went along with it ans supported the student in this new expiereince. This era was effecting families no matter the skin color they had. this era was a hard and struggling time for people of color. Familie in different races definatly had different life styles and ways they performed as a familiy. -
Vietnam War// 1970
This war cause many men to be drafted into the war. You would think that the army or tose branches of it would pay alot for this job but they actually dont.MAny families struggles to stay up and make sure the family left at home was making it and doing fine. Fear was definetly present because of the men leaving home to fight. -
Women enter the workforce // 1980
This was a major thing. This impacted everything and everyone. Women were usually not supposed to be out of the house working in a factory of something. Back then the common house hold had the men working and the women staying at home. With women working they also got low wages which started whole other dilemas and issues. -
The internet 1996
My family relates to this because my brothers were just teenagers growing up and discovering new things. With the internet boom many families bought ore technology requiring internet that they did not have or could not use before. Now the cable tv was becoming less and less popular since the boom of the internet happening. THis opened many new oppurtunity for americans and its families. -
Cell phones / 1999
When the internet became a popular then soon cellphones became a necessetiy for every family to have in their home. Communication was now easier for families to communicate with each other. The down side was other could hear your conversation between different lines being used. This drove families apart but also got them to call other family member checking up on them -
September 11th // 2001
This day is a day to be remembered and recognized forever. All families were struck by this tragic event not only in the united states but around the world as well. Families were broken apart causing relationships to fail and a less pressence of hope. Loved ones were lost and taken away for families. This day is hard for many to bare through. -

Facebook becoming a thing was so great and amazing. It allowed communication with others not in the same area state or country be able to talk with each other as much as they please. Much more people could now have conversations with other loved ones , family members and friends. THis also kinda drove families apart into focusing on the social life of things rather than actually present life in front of them. Great Recession // 2008
This affect a large amount of families around the world. The economy was not good. Many people lost valuable things, their cars, jobs, and their houses. Families faced financial crises with not being able to afford thing or being able to pay for them. This era made families think about making smarter choice as the years went y because this was a bad time for buying houses care and for most things -
Barack Obama //2008
Obama benefited america with helping the economy get better and rise out of the recession everyone was in. All families praised obama for the good work he had planned in his future to complete and make life great and manageable in america. This caused many families to freak out because it was such a big event that affected many people. This spill cause muh worry in the world to be scared of future outbreaks of something. Families started to develop more and last longer because people were living longer. /both female and males were showing evidence of living longer.
