Dad bought me all of the Junie B. Jones books to read as a young child and I began to fall in love with reading. -

My Dad took me to the library with him each week and would only allow me to check out chapter books that would challenge my reading abilities. -
8 Years Old
I was baptized into the Mormon church at 8 years old and began reading the children's version of The Book of Mormon. -
10 Years Old
My Dad was a big reader and would have me read books that he had already read and take comprehension tests that he had made over the book. -
11 Years Old
I always watched the TV show Roswell as a kid with my parents. My Dad introduced me to the Roswell High books and I read all 10 books in a very short time period. -
12 Years Old
I moved into the Young Women's group at church and in order to receive my medallion certificate I had to read the entire Book of Mormon. I believe this increased my reading skills and comprehension greatly. -

Throughout my creative writing class in high school I read multiple interesting biological books and fell in love with true stories, biographies, and autobiographies. -
18 Years Old
I read multiple stories about experiences people have had. I discovered the story of Elizabeth Smart and read her book about her kidnapping. This opened up my world to biographies and spiritual trials and tribulations one has faced. -
19 Years Old
I took a child psychology class and learned so many things about the human mind. I found that I also love to learn and read about psychology. -
20 Years Old
My husband bought me all of the Harry Potter books and we read them together.
