The Queen, Isabella of castile, and the King, Ferdidnard of argon were both the new leaders of Spain. They want Spain to be fully Cathloic. So they made the Inqusition. It was a law that if you were any other religion than Catholic you would be charged for heresy. If you were lucky they would allow you to change religions to become a Catholic than you would have to beg the Church to allow you back into it. All Jews, Christians, & Muslims weren't allowed to live in Spain. -
