    Grosmont Castle
    Grosmont Castle is a well preserved three part castle located in Monmouthshire, Wales. It is rare for a castle to be preserved this good for so long.     Camrose Castle
    Camrose Castle was small but powerful and was built in strong position at the side of a small river where it controlled the ford. King William the Conqueror stayed here during his pilgrimage to the ancient holy site of St. Davids.     Bishop's Castle
    Bishop's Castle was a motte castle from the 12th century. The remaining fragments of stonework down the slope suggest that there probably was a wall connecting the shell to a curtain around the bailey. It is located in Shropshire, England.     Usk Castle

    Usk Castle
    Usk Castle and the town around it are thought to be formed in 1120. It is in Monmouthshire, Wales. it was first captured in 1138 but the Welsh took it back in 1174 and then recaptured again in 1184. The castle was captured by the Welsh again in the war of 1233 between Richard Marshall and Henry lll. This castle has a long history of being captured as you can tell.     Ewloe Castle
    Ewloe Castle is located in Flintshire, Wales. The only reference to the castle is in a documentary source known as the Chester Plea Rolls. So it is hard to known exactly when it was constructed.     Wilton Castle
    Wilton Castle is a forgotten castle of Herefordshire. It stands as a monument of its lords. It was built by the Longchamps of Wilton who were eventually succeeded by the families of Cantilupe and Grey. Matilda Grey (a Cantilupe) stood up in court in 1292 amd lied to the king's face that the castle had been built by her ancestors in around the year of 1042. Author Paul M. Remfry, 2009, 11/6/13

    Aberystwyth Castle
    Aberystwyth Castle was built in 1277 after King Edward I ordered for the construction of many strong castles. They included Flint, Builth, Aberystwyth, and Rhuddlan. Of these four, two led the way into the future of castle building and Aberystwyth is one of these two. However it is the most ruined today. It is in Ceredigion, west Wales.
