The Gold Rush
The gold rush is when gold was found in Sutter's Mill is California by James Marshall.People who wanted to have gold were called gold-seekers. They faced many hardships along the way to get to the gold. Over 300,000 people came to california. Half traveled by sea and the other half traveled by trains,or land. The gold rush ended in 1855. -
Invention of Light Bulb
Thomas Edison didn't create the light bulb. Humphrey Davy invented the light bulb and Thomas perfected it so it would work properly. He had 3 children and he invented the phonograph and the motion picture camera. He was born in Feb. 11,1847 and died Oct. 18,1931. He was 84 when he died. He lived a long life. -
World War 1
This was also called The Great War. Italy however did not enter in the war but many others did like U.K, France and Russia. This war was a global war and it was centered in the middle of Europe. This war ended on Nov. 11, 1918. -
Martin Luther King Jr's Assasination
On this day Martin Luther King Jr. was shot with a snipper's bullet while standing on his balcony. It was a sad day and an hour later he was dead in the hospital. He was shot at 6:01 p.m. and died at 7:05 p.m. This day is celebrated in honor of him declaring our rights and differences from black and white people. -
The first moon landing
The U.S Apollo was the first ever man mission to land on the moon. It was very expensive but it was worth it. Diffferent nations tried sending unmanned spacecarfts to the moon but failed miserably. The Apollo took a lot of info. -
