The Roosevelt came to Cape Sheridan ,and Matt began training the new men in the art of dog driving,igloo building, and survival. -
Going to the North Pole
The crew is going to the North Pole, and they each brought something special, and each slegde carried 450 pounds of supples. -

Bartlett and Borup were on there way to pioneer a trail. -
Waiting for Peary to say ''Forward March''
The crew waited for Peary to say ''Forward March'' before the crew could go. -
At the Big Lead
Peary and Henson saw Bartlett at the Big Lead, and it was wide and fearful. -
The Crimson Sphere
Matt saw a crimson sphere, and the weather was great, but could not cross the lead. -
The Lead
The lead was frozen and the men hurried across. -
Ross Marvin
It was Ross Marvin's turn to go back to the Roosevelt. -
Bartlett and the Dogs
Henson and Peary set up camp, and water was hitting the dogs.The water was freezing to the dogs.Henson saw Bartlett beside a lead,then the ice split Bartlett's igloo.Then Bartlett and the dog were on the island of ice, and then floated away.Next they got harnessed in, and leaped across. -
Bartlett's Turn to go Back
It was Bartlett's turn to go back, and Matt repaired sledges and rested. -
The Group
The group march for 10 hours and then Matt saw the moon and the sun in opposite of each other in the sky. -
Freezing Water
Matt fell in the freezing water, and Ootah saved him. -
3 Miles from the Top of the World
At noon Peary discovered that they were 3 miles from the top of the world. -
At the North Pole
Matt and Peary made it to theNorth Pole, and put the flag there. -
On the Way Back and to Cape Columbia
Matt and Peary took the Roosevelt back to Cape Columbia, and some friends were there to meet them.Henson's friends took him to his cabin and took off his furs.
