Radio Broadcasting
The first known radio news program was broadcasted by the station KDKA in Pittsburgh. The date is significant because it was election day and the power of the radio was shown when people were able to hear the election results of the Harding-cox presidential race before reading it in the newspapers. -
Televison
Invented by 21 year old Philo Taylor Farnsworth, electronic televison was first successfully demonstrated on September 7th, 1927 in San Francisco. -
Olympic Games
First olympics made history in 1936 when the Berlin games were shown live to athletes in the Olympic village and to the wider public in 25 special viewing rooms that were located in Berlin. Tokyo 1964 was the first games to reach a worldwide audience. -
