    Mary had sent this play to Drury Lane initially, who had rejected it. They they opened their 1697 season with a rip-off by an actor who had played in 'Ibrahim', George Powell, called The Imposture Defeated. Congreve and 'two she-things' (Trotter and Pix?) tried to yell it down but didn't have much luck. Pixed complained to Queen Mary, who encouraged her. I don't think this play ever got performed, from what I can see.
