Timely Comics was created in 1939. It was founded by Martin Goodman. Timely Comics was made for creating Comics, especially ones involving superheros. -
Stan Lee was hired to work at Timely Comics where he began working on Comics. -
In 1940, Jack Kirby, and Joe Simon, joined Timely Comics. Simon joined earlier than Kirby just by a couple months. -
Captain America was made by Joe Kirby and Joe Simon. Captain America was released during the "Golden Age" saga which went from 1939-1949. -
Superhero comics became very unpopular so Timely created the last comic of that genre in 1950. -
Because Timely cancelled the only thing they were good at they had to change business and their name to Atlas Magazines. -
In 1956, rival company DC, reintroduced superhero characters. This caused Atlas to push back. -
In the early 1960's Atlas changed their name to Marvel studios. Marvel and DC were constantly trying to one up each other. -
In 1996 Marvel goes bankrupt due to the lack of interest in comics. however the company managed to escape bankruptcy in 1998 -
Stan Lee decided to quit Marvel due to disputes between him and Kirby. He later joined back because he loved creating comics. -
Marvel starts creating digital comics. These became very popular very quickly. -
In 2008, Marvel Studios wanted to make a movie staring one of their superheros. The movie made 102 million dollars in the box office. -
Marvel made a movie saga called Infinity War. This movie saga remains one of the most popular Marvel series to this day.
