Mario Bros was invented and created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Gunpei Yokoi in Japan. In 1983, the game first began as an arcade game by Nintendo and Mario was known as Jumpman. Until April 4th, 1985 , they decided to make Mario its own game called, Super Mario Bros. It was a pixel wave-based game and was made for anyone from the age of 5 and up. From then on, they became a huge hit, later on releasing four other title games (Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 2 & 3 and Super Mario Bros Land)! -

After releasing four games and becoming a huge hit , Super Mario Bros World was created in November 21, 1990. By now, Super Mario Bros was a huge success, getting more popular, selling millions of copies. Already releasing many characters that are known as of today, one of them, Yoshi (now has become one of the most popular character of the Super Mario). They also started changing the game style, making it more brighter, colorful, and vibrant. From 1990-1999 they released two more game titles. -
2000s
During the 2000's, Super Mario Bros had starting changing their style and developing it into a 3d style. You were now able to do more things such as remotely moving freely, getting more maps, new characters and power-ups (Ice Mario, Propeller Mario, Penguin Mario, Bee Mario, Boom Mario and many more!), still selling millions of copies while gaining more popularity and adding more effects and sounds to the games. -
2010s
By 2010s, Super Mario Bros had now focused more on the game quality. While releasing 9 game titles during the 2010s, the game title, Super Mario Galaxy 2 was the FIRST game to get 10/10 score at Gamespot. They started releasing their games to various game consoles,such as the Wii U, Game Boy, Wii, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 2DS and 3DS, Nintendo Switch, IOS and Android. -
2020s
The latest game from Super Mario Bros Is Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury. This game was released for the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros which sold of 6 million copies.
