Puyi
Puyi was the last emperor of China. He became emperor when he was just 2 years old and was separated from his parents. He was only emperor for a few years, due to the fall of the Qing dynasty -
the Qing Dynasty falls
It caused confusion and instability. It falls due to civil disorders and marks the end of China's imperial history. Puyi was the last emperor from the Qing dynasty. -
Mao Zedong
The founder of the People's Republic of China. After the fall of the Qing dynasty, Mao took control by gaining followers to join him and make China "a better place leave. -
The Great Leap Forward
This was a 5 year plan that Mao made to make China a better place. He gave land to the peasants, and made them communes. The communes worked in factories, and other places to make products. Even though, they had land, the plan failed due to starvation, which killed the communes. Mao Zedong had fell out of power, and people started not liking him. -
The Cultural Revolution
Mao Zedong had a plan to put him back in power. He feared that China would not be Communist anymore. Mao persuaded young kids (Red Guards) to join him. The red guards killed intuellectiuals that wanted communist in China to stop. This led on until Mao's death in 1976 -
Tiananmen Square
Tiananmen Square is located in Beijing, China (The forbidden city). Nearly a million citizens of China protested at Tiananmen Square for greater government and democracy. This protested resulted into a massacre, which killed tons of citizens. They were killed by the government. Now, in China If June 4th, 1989 is said, you would be arrested.
