  • The Industrial Revolution

    The Industrial Revolution was when people went from horse and cart to manufacturing machines to make other things. This then lead to people coming into cities because more jobs were being offered by big companies of man the new machinery that was there.
  • The End of the Napoleonic Wars

    Europe made a system of power that kept the peace in Europe for the next century. After this it was officially declared that the Napoleonic was over when they signed a treaty (the Treaty of Paris) in November 20th 1815.
  • The Tasmania Black War

    Before the Europeans settled in Tasmania, Tasmania was rich with resources. This provided the Tasmanian Aborigines with fresh water and different hunting grounds. Once the Europeans settled they drove out the Aborigines from their land and used that land to build houses and farms on. After this the Aborigine's hunting grounds were gone and so they would kill any Europeans and their families, then raid their houses for food and resources.
  • Changing political and economic ideologies - Capitalism

    Adam Smith was the man who came up the the ideology of Capitalism in the 16th century. Capitalism is the idea of making money without giving too much to tax.
  • The contestable nature of Ned Kelly’s legacy

    the Contestability about Ned Kelly is that he did some bad things but he always justified himself for doing them. Many argue about whether Ned Kelly is a god person or and bad person.
  • The Boxer Rebelion

    It was a rebellion against all of the foreign countries that were controlling the trade in China. The fighters that lead the Rebellion used different types of martial arts that looked like (to the foreign countries) boxing. The Boxers in the Boxer Rebellion killed any foreigner and any Chinese family that had converted to Christianity. The Rebellion finally stopped with the signing of the Boxer Protocol.
  • Battle of Beersheba

    The bond between horse and rider was strengthen the battle of Beersheba because the horses and the riders would train everyday and when it came to jumping over the trenches the riders needed a lot of trust to do that. Once the war ended the army leaders wouldn't let the men bring back their horse so many of the men killed their horses so that they didn't go to other owners that didn't treat them right.
