Columbus sails to America
Funded by the Spanish, Columbus makes the first of four voyages to the New World. Sailing the Santa Maria, he lands in the Bahamas, thinking it is an outlying Japanese island on October 12th, This is important because it is the first sailing to America and was basically the first step in creating America. -
