The email was created in 1965 as a way for people to communicate over the internet, however I did not find any specific dates as to when it became available to universities and the Government. In 1994 only 3% of classrooms had access to the internet however in 2002 it jumped to 92%. -

Steve Wazniak invented the Apple I computer in 1976, however he ran the first prototype for it on June 29, 1975. The computers were sold for $666.66/ -

On August 12, in 1981 IBM introduced the PC with the model number 5150. It was created by a group of engineers under the direction of Don Estridge. -

In 1997, Google.com is registered as a domain on September 15. The name, a play on the word "googol," a mathematical term for the number represented by the numeral 1 followed by 100 zeros reflects Larry and Sergey's mission to organize a seemingly infinite amount of information on the web. Google was created by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. -
YouTube founded.
A little over nine years ago, YouTube was founded by three former PayPal employees. YouTube is a website where people can upload videos to share blogs, information, music videos, or every days videos of their lives. -

Amazon releases the first Kindle!
Amazon released the Kindle, the first generation Kindle device (paperwhite) on November 19, 2007, for $399 which sold out in five and a half hours (I guess you can say it was a big hit!). -
