Major Events of the French Revolution
The French Revolution took place due to the overthrow of government in the late 1700s. The Revolution itself occurred due to the anger of Legislative Assembly which was created by the new constitution. -
Storming the Bastille
Rumors were going around Paris at this time because of the uprising hostility. It had been said the Louis was planning on using forceful military force to dismiss the National Assembly. -
Great Fear
Senseless panic blew throughout France because rumors had spread that nobles were hiring outlaws to terrorize peasants. Because of this, peasants became outlaws themselves. -
A Limited Monarchy
The new constitution that the National Assembly created was instantly approved by Louis. This constitution created the Legislative Assembly, a new legislative body. Ultimately, the Legislative Assembly split in to three groups based on different beliefs which sparked the early beginning of the French Revolution. -
