    The Cotton Gin was created by Eli Whitney and brought upon the Industrial Revolution. It also brought a higher demand for slaves to pick cotton.     A man named John Brown tries to start a rebellion by stealing guns and holding 60 men hostage. His plan was to get slaves of the captured men to join the rebellion on slavery. he was captured and most of his men were killed. This caused anger in the southern states and northern states.
