The Magna Carta is a document that King John was forced into signing. The purpose of this document was to lessen the power King John had and made him reign by the old English rules. This meant he had no influence on the election of bishops within the church, there were no taxes, the right to due process, and weights and measures. -

Black Death
In 1347 a disaster began. Flees carried this bacteria called Yersinia Pestis, flees jumped on rats and rats were transported by boats, food, etc. This began the terrible plague called the Black Death. As Mongols from Asia came to Europe for trade the disease spread faster and faster. Due to the amount of people traveling through this trade route it spread more quickly. This eventually resulted in the death of 20-25 million people in Europe alone. -
