When Britain and Soviet military forces divided between Germany the Berlin Wall was formed. When the First Berlin Crisis arrosed by setting blockades on rail, roads, and water access, United stated began to airlift food, and supplys acrosed the blockades. Soviet forces lifted the blockade on land access to the west Berlin on May 12, 1949. -
