Robert E. Lee invades the north. It was the single bloodiest day in American history, 12.000 men were killed in the first 3 hours. -
Battle of Fredericksburg
Burnside attacked Lee and the battle last from the 11th till 15th December 1862. The Union loses 13.000 people, while the CSA only lose 5000. -

It was Joe Hooker vs. Lee. it was a 12 mile surprise attack in May 1863 and Robert E. Lees greatest victory, but also his biggest lost. He lost his right Hand Jackson, because he got shot in his left rm. -
Battle of Gettysburg
Turning point in the War. It was from 1.-3. July in 1863. Lees Army was running out of supplies. In this 3 Days 50.000 men get killed and the Union won. -
Battle of Vicksburg
It took place from May 18 to July 4, 1863. Union general Grant surrounded Vicksburg. The Confederate Army, commanded by Pemberton, surrendered on July 4. -
Sherman's March to the Sea
It was a total war from Atlanta to Savannah. From november 15.- december. 21. in 1864. It was the first time avilion populations were target. -
Appomattox Court
General Lee surrenders to Grant at Appomattox Court House.
