Winston Churchill becomes leader of British Government
Churchill was a good military leader who gave the people what they wanted and did as they please, Churchill began his leadership by fighting against the nazis alone, and said he would never surrender, and they didn't.

Attack on Pearl Harbor
Japanese fighter planes attacked American naval base near Hawaii, Japan destroyed almost 20 naval ships, 8 battle ships, and 300 airplanes, killing 2,000 American soldiers and sailors died.

Battle of Coral Sea
A four- day WWII had its first air - sea battle in history. The Japanese wanted to take control of Coral Sea so they invaded Port Moseby , but when they reached there, they were under attack by American planes, the Japanese were defeated.

The US decoded a message and was able to know that the Japanese were planning an ambush, so America invaded Japan destroying the rest of their aircrafts, and thus was a turning point to the Pacific campaign.

Battle of Stalingrad
Soviet defense on city of Stalingrad in the U.S.S.R during WWII. It was a patriotic war that stopped the german advance into the Soviet Union, known as the bloodiest battle in history, and about 2 million civilians died.

1st Liberation of Concentration Camps
Soviet soldiers were the first to liberate concentration camps in the final stages of war, they entered a camp in Poland and then went to others. They entered Auschwitz and found many ill and exhausted people.

Italy Surrenders to Allies
Dwight Eisenhower surrendered to his allies, and they began beating the Germans back up to the peninsula. Ever since Italy's surrender, Germany was thinking to invade it so the allies don't take a foothold on them.

D-Day
Allied liberation from Nazi Germany's control. It was the bloodiest war in history, and required extensive planning. All northern France was liberated, and allies defeated the Germans.

Death of FDR
FDR died after four terms in office, leaving it for Truman to continue in his footsteps. FDR died during World War, but died peacefully not due to illnesses or disease (or fighting on the war). By 3:30 pm, he was pronounced dead.
