RESEARCH AND PLANNING
-
Research - Apple Mac's and Mac Book Pro
In the first day, we were put into groups and told to research different film genres on the Apple Mac's and Mac Book Pro's. Before this I had no previous experience on Apple computers and neither did anyone else in my group. We learn how to do different tasks on them and the different gestures on the mouse pads. -
Planning - Microsoft Office
When we did our planning we used all the different Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. These products have been used a lot by us in the past so we knew what we was doing through experience. We used Excel to make the Shot List, Word to make the Location Recce and the Script. PowerPoint was used to produce Risk Assessment, Story Board, and Brief. -
Shooting Day
On this day, we used the Flip HD camera and a proffessional quality tripod. The Flip HD cameras had been used before when we made our Arlington Road remake, so we had some decent experience using them. However, at some points it was still difficult to get the framing for the shot correct. -

EDITING
-
Editing - LiveType
To create our titles we used LiveType. We played around with the different effects to see what looked good because we only had a small amount of experience with this application. -
Editing - Final Cut Express HD
We had a small amount of experience for the Arlington Road Task so this wasnt too difficult to use. We had to use more advanced settings and tools to make a better effect on the video. -
First Rough Cut uploaded to YouTube
We uploaded a rough cut of our Opening Sequence to YouTube -
Editing
The image to the left shows some of the editing we did on Final Cut Express HD. We also used applications like Photoshop to help edit some scenes and help make it more effective. -
Editing - Soundtrack
To create our soundtrack we used "Soundtrack". No one really had any experience whilst using this application so it took a bit of time to find the right sounds and effects. Also, we had to play around with it because we didnt really know how to merge the sounds together to make the best effect. -
COMPLETION
On this day we completed the last of all our editing, including the soundtrack and titles. -
Final Upload to YouTube
Today we uploaded the final and finished video up onto YouTube. We had to export the video for playback on YouTube
