In 2008, the number of farms decreased to 2.2 million which was overall caused by the economic recession. -

In 2018, the agriculture in the US is currently still at a number of 2.2 million farms, howvever, that number is only supposed to increase form now on due to the GDP of 19 trillion in the United States.
