Olive Branch Petition
This was the last chance for the colonists to make peace with the British king, to avoid war between each other. But the King went on to issue the Proclamation of Rebellion, but the king didn't even wanna hear about their petition. -
Prohibitory Act
This Act removed the colonies from the king's protection and cut off all trade between the American Colonies and England. -
Declaration of Independence
Adopted by the Second Continental Congress and written by Thomas Jefferson. It says that North America and the British colonies desired Independence.
