Many patriots in Boston protested to tax on stamps issued by the British parliament. They created a slogan to refer to the violation of their rights as "taxation without representation". Loyalists feared for their safety and therefore, this event could act as a motive to the loyalist migration. -

The Boston massacre was an event where British military shot and killed many people while under attack by a mob. The solders were later found not guilty as there was a misunderstanding and they had a reasonable motive. -

Intolerable acts refer to the 5 laws passed in 1774 that taxed settlers in the new colony, this caused people to become angry with the British parliament with the reasoning that they would need a representative from the settlers before passing any laws on the colony -
The independence of the United States
The independence of the United States had a great impact on the loyalist migration because after the colony became independent and no longer belonged to Britain, people that were loyal to the crown emigrated out of what was now the US to upper Canada, still a colony of Britain. -
Treaty of Paris
the Treaty of Paris acknowledged the United States as an official country. Issued by Britain, this meant that the loyalists finally won.
