-Jack attemps to go hunting for pigs but gets nothing.
-Ralph and Simon build huts on the isalnd.
-Simon finds his own quite place in the middle of the forest. -

-Jack and his group killed a pig.

-They discover the "beast from the air" (dead parachutist)
-They lose an opportunity to be saved by planes flying in the night. -

-The boys go on a hunt for the beast and Ralph attempts to kill a pig.
-Simon goes back to tell Piggy they wouln't be back for a while.
-Roger, Ralph, and Jack find the beast. (dead parachutist) -

-Jack tries to vote Ralph out of being chief.
-Piggy and Ralph build a fire on the beach.
-Jack and the boys kill a pig and put the head on a stick as a peace offering to the beast. -
Chapter 9

-Simon wakes up and finds the dead paachutist.
-Jack forms a tribe and they have a feast.
-Simon is killed by Jacks tribe. -
Chapter 10

-Jack takes Piggy's glases to make a fire. -
Chapter 11

-Ralph calls meeting for those ho have no joined Jack's tribe and decide to go to the Catstle Rock.
-Ralph and Jack fight which causes Piggy to speak up.
-Piggy is then killed with a rock thrown by Roger.
-The conch is also destroyed along with Piggy. -
