Chapter 1
The boys still wear uniforms and behave. They are civilized kids.
"Their bodies, from throat to ankle, were hidden by black cloaks which bore a long silver cross on the left breast and each neck was finished off with a hambone frill." -
Chapter 2
Jack leds the entire group up the mountain to make a fire againts Ralph's protest. They disobeyed the leader.
"the space under the palm trees was full of noises and mom=vements. Ralph was on his feet quiet, but no one heard him. All at once the crowd swayed toward the island and was gone-following Jack." -
Chapter 3
Jack is getted obssesed with hunting.
"Jack stood there,streaming with sweat, streaked with brown earth, stained by all the vicissitudes of day's hunting." -
Chapter 4
The hunters paint their faces for hunting like tribal hunters.
"He rubbed the charcoal stick between the patches of red and white on his face." -
Chapter 5
The kids are arguing because everone one is inturrupting everyone so they make up the conch rules.
"Hear him! He's got the conch." -
Chapter 6
Jack wants them to hunt the beast which would endanger them, but he doesn't care. He is becoming irriationl.
"This'll be a real hunt! Who'll come?" -
Chapter 8
Jack and the other hunters started to worship the beast.
"This head is for the beast, it's a gift." -
Chapter 9
The boys where playing the hunting game, they kill Simon thinking he was the beast.
"At the crowd surged after it, poured down the rock, lept on the beast, screaming, struck, bit, tore." -
Chapter 10
Ever since Jakc and the other boys killed Simon, Jack has been picking on other boys and beating them for no reason.
""He's going to beat Wilfred.""What for?" Robert shook his head doubtfully.""I don't know, he didn't say."" -
Chapter 7
When Jack and his hunters played the hunting game, they reakky got into it and started hurting Robert. They got excited about killing.
"Ralph, carried away by a sudden think excitement, grabbed Eric's spear and jabbed Robert with it." -
Chapter 11
Roger decides to push a boulder on Pigger while he was talking because he was getting annoyed of him.
"By him stood Piggy, still holding out the talisman, the fragile, shining beauty of the shell. The storm of sound beat at them, an incantation of hatred. High overhead, Roger, with a sence of delirious abandonment, leaned all his weaight on the lever." -
Chapter 12
Jack and boys start chasing Ralph to kill him.
"The ferns were thumped and he heard legs moving in the long grass."
