    Miles Hatler is unpopular at his home in Florida. He wishes to go find his Great Perhaps in Culver Creek Boarding School in Alabama.

  • 128 Days Before

    Miles moves into his new dorm and meets his roomate, Chip Martin, also known as "the Colonel". Miles gets the nickname "Pudge". Pudge meets the wild Alaska (through the Colonel) while searching for cigarettes. The Colonel tells Pudge about the Eagle and how he does not tolerate stupidity.

  • 127-126 Days Before

    The Colonel is introduces Pudge to new people such as Takumi. In the middle of the night Pudge gets dragged out of bed by a group of boys (including Kevin) known as the Weekday Warriors. The boys duct tape Pudge and threw him in the lake to send the Colonel a message. He almosts drowns. The Colonel is furious and wants to know why. School finally starts.

  • 122 Days Before

    The Colonel and his girlfriend, Sara, being to fight again when Sara shows up for their date. The Colonel reveals his relationship to Pudge after him and Sara cancel their date and Sara leaves.

  • 110 Days Before

    Pudge and Alaska get kicked out of class when Pudge is caught looking out the window and not looking being "present". Pudge, Takumi, the Colonel and Alaska go to the smoking hole and Takumi begins to rap.

  • 109 Days Before

    Pudge and the Colonel went to a basketball game. Kevin wanted a truce, but Pudge and the Colonel disagreed. Pudge has his first badass moment when embarrassing Kevin.

  • 101 Days Before

    Alaska drives Pudge and group of students to study precalc at McDonalds. Meanwhile, Pudge meets a girl named Lara.

  • 100 Days Before

    Alaska explains to Pudge that she picked her name at age 7 because her parents couldn't decide and that in the future she would like to work with disabled kids. Alaksa also discusses how in your life you are stuck in a labyrinth and thinking about that one day you will escape.

  • 99 Days Before

    Alaska, Pudge, Takumi and the Colonel go smoke down at the lake, but they get caught by the Eagle. They must attend jury tomorrow for their punishment.

  • 98 Days Before

    Alaska, the Colonel, Takumi and Pudge go on trial for smoking on school grounds. Alaska and the Colonel take the blame and get cafeteria duty.

  • 89 Days Before

    Alaska plans a triple date with her and Jake (her boyfriend), Pudge and Lara, the Colonel and Sara (his girlfriend).

  • 87 Days Before

    The triple and a half date (with Alaska, Jake, Pudge, Lara, the Colonel, Sara and Takumi) was at a basketball game. During the game the Colonel tried to get himself kicked out of the building by yelling at the players. Eventually, one of the players began to get very mad and he started walking toward them. The Colonel, Takumi and Pudge started running. But Pudge got hit with a basketball in the head and puked on Lara. He was concussed. The Colenol and Sara broke up.

    It began raining for days and everyone felt under the weather.

  • 76 Days Before

    Dr. Hyde explains the semester essay/exam question: "What is the most important question human beings must answer?" Also, Alaska's room gets flooded by the Weekday Warriors, most of her books are destroyed.

  • 67 Days Before

    Takumi tells Pudge that Alaska ratted out Marya and Paul last year for breaking the rules. Pudge understands now why she took the blame for the day at the trial: she wanted Pudge to trust her.

  • 58 Days Before

    Alaska convinces Pudge to stay around school for Thanksgiving or else she will be alone again this holiday.

  • 52 Days Before

    Everyone leaves for Thanksgiving holiday. Alaska and Pudge are left at school by themselves dicussing the labyrinth.

  • 51 Days Before

    Alaska and Pudge sneak into the Weekday Warriors dorm room and make a plan to prank them using their hair products.

  • 49 Days Before

    Alaska and Pudge go "porn hunting" in the other students dorm rooms. After Alaska quickly fell asleep on Pudge's stomach.

  • 47 Days Before

    The Colonel drives back to school to pick up Alaska and Pudge for Thanksgiving dinner at his mom's trailer.

  • 46 Days Before

    Alaska, the Colonel, Pudge and Dolores (the Colonel's mom) have a fantastic Thanksging dinner. They each say what they are thankful for. Alaska, Pudge and the Colonel drive back to Culver Creek.

  • 44 Days Before

    Alaksa and Pudge go to the store to buy cigarettes and alcohol. Alaska shows up at Pudge's dorm room sobbing. The explain how she told the Colonel about ratting on Marya. She also rants to Pudge about always screwing everything up. She was caught by the Eagle and so in order to stay at school she ratted out Marya. Alaska told Pudge that she has no home.

  • Christmas

    Pudge returns home for the holidays. He studies most of the break. Pudge is glad he has a family.

  • 8 Days Before

    Alaksa and the Colonel plan a "pre-prank" that weekend at a barn with Alaska, the Colonel, Takumi, Pudge adn Lara. Alaska and the Colonel disclude Pudge of the plans so he will not get in trouble----yet.

  • 4 Days Before

    Over the next few days Alaska and the Colonel (without Pudge) were planning the "pre-prank" known as the Barn Night. Pudge finishes his religion paper stating that everyone believed in an afterlife because they couldn't bear not to.

  • 3 Days Before: Part 2

    Lara explains to the group that she snuck into Kevin, Jeff and Longwell's dorms to put the hair dye in their conditioner and gel. Alaska did not follow the plan and she put bad progress reports in 23 Weekday Warrior's mailbox instead of only three people like instructed by the Colonel. The Colonel now thinks that the suspect list is shorter because of Alaska's actions. They sit in the barn passing around booze.

  • 3 Days Before: Part One

    Pudge, the Colonel, Takumi, Alaska and Lara create an excuse to tell the Eagle so they can stay the weekend in the barn. The Colonel explains the pre-prank to the group. The group split to commence the prank. Pudge and Takumi began setting off fireworks to attract the Eagle and started running as fast as they could. But while running they got off track and was at the lake. Pudge got bit on the butt by the swan.

  • 2 Days Before: Part 2

    That night Pudge attempted to make a move on Lara. They ended up kissing and sleeping in the same sleeping bag. Then Pudge asks Lara to be his girlfriend and she says yes please.

  • 2 Days Before: Part 1

    Alaska, Takumi, the Colonel, Lara and Pudge are staying the day in the barn. They all took turn rapping while the Colonel gave them a beat. Alaska started a game called "Best Day/Worst Day". They each told their best and worst day and whosever was the best didn't have to drink. The Colonel won saying his best day will happen when he is sucessful and buys his mom a house. Alaska won the worst day when she explained the day her mom died and she only screamed and never called for help.

  • 1 Day Before

    Pudge, the Colonel, Takumi, Alaska and Lara return to campus early in the morning.

  • The Last Day

    Miles spends the day with Lara. Later that night the Colonel and Alaska get drunk in Pudge's dorm. Alaska tell Pudge to hook up with her and they begin kissing, but Alaska gets tired and says "To be continued". A few hours later Alaska wakes up and begins to freak out and saying she has to leave. Pudge and the Colonel create a distraction for the Eagle and Alaska drives away.

  • The Day After

    Pudge and the Colonel are woken up by the Eagle saying that they have to make their way to the gym. In the gym along with the rest of the students the Eagle announces that Alaska has died in a terrible car accident the night before. Everyone is in disbeleif and the Colonel is screaming "I'm so sorry."

  • 2 Days After

    Pudge tells his parents about Alaska. The Colonel gets extremely frustrated and goes for a walk. Everyone tries to cope with the loss of Alaska. Pudge has a dream about her.

  • 4 Days After

    The Colonel returns from his 84 mile walk after being gone for 45 hours.

  • 6 Days After

    The students travel on bus to Alaska's funeral except for Takumi, the Colonel, Lara and Pudge who drive separate in an SUV. At the funeral Pudge meets Alaska's father. Pusge and the Colonel go to Alaska's closed coffin to say their last good byes.

  • 7 Days After

    Pudge and the Colonel begin to clean out Alaska's room. When looking at a book called "The General In His Labyrinth" Pudge finds that Alaska has written something in the book "Straight & Fast". The Colonel suggests she killed herslef on purpose, but the idea is too much from them to comprehend.

  • 8 Days After

    Class begins. In religion Dr. Hyde discusses Alaska's essay question "How will we ever get out of this labyrinth of suffering?" The student express there condolences, which the Colonel thinks is unnecessary and wrong.

  • 9 Days After

    The Colonel comes up with a theory as to what happened with Alaska that night and talks it over with Pudge. The Colonel makes a game plan: one. Talk to eyewitnesses. Two. Figure out how drunk she was. Three. Figure out where she was going and why.

  • 13 Days After

    The Colonel and Pudge go to the Pelham Police Station to find the man who was at Alaska's accident to ask him a few questions. White tulips were found in the backseat of her car.

  • 14 Days After

    The Colonel and Pudge explore the possibility that Alaska commited suicide. But later conclude that she did not. Holly Moser (a girl who hangs out with the Weekday Warriors) enters Pudge and the Colonel's dorm saying that she thought Alaska was trying to communicate with her. After she left the Colonel was agitated at her because she acts like she knew Alaska.

  • 20 Days After

    Pudge and the Colonel have a fight about Pudge being selfish and not wanting answers about Alaska's death. Pudge gets upset and goes to the smoking hole and remembers a memory with Alaska.

  • 21 Days After

    Dr. Hyde discusses Sufism and about Rabe'a al-Adiwiya (a person Alaska would like). Pudge and Takumi go to McInedible and catch up.

  • 27 Days After

    Pudge and the Colonel borrow the Eagle's Breathalyzer. The Colonel continued to drink until he reached a blood-alcohol level of .24 to understand the condition Alaska was in the night of her accident. The Eagle catches them. Pudge quickly makes up a brilliant excuse and they do not get in trouble, but Pudge must show up to jury the next day.

  • 28 Days After

    Pudge is keeping up with his classes by getting B minuses. The Colonel tells Takumi everything that happened that night of Alaska's death.

  • 29 Days After

    The Colonel calls Jake about the night of Alaska's death. Jake said she never said she was going to go see him that night. But when he was on the phone that night she was fine and doodling then out of no where she freaked out and said she had to go.

  • 37 Days After

    Pudge and Lara bump into each other between classes. They haven't seen much of each other since Alaska's death and the only thing Pudge say is "I'm sorry." But Lara walks away, still upset.

  • 45 Days After

    Pudge, the Colonel and Takumi go to get cigarettes Coosa Liquors.

  • 46 Days After

    Pudge goes to Lara's dorm to apologize to her for ignoring her and being a bad boyfriend. She forgives him. Pudge, the Colonel, Takumi and Lara go to the smoking hole to try and figure out what happened to Alaska that night, but don't get very far.

  • 51 Days After

    During religion class Dr. Hyde discusses how everything that comes together and then falls apart.

  • 62 Days After

    While Pudge was on the phone with his mom he notices the doodled Daisy (on the pasyphone) that Alaska was drawing that night. He figures there must be a connection between the flower and her death.

  • 69 Days After

    Pudge and the Colonel decide to do a memorial prank for Alaska. They are going to do the prank Alaska was going to do for her senior year called "Subverting the Patriarchal Paradigm".

  • 83 Days After

    The Colonel plans the entire prank over spring break and then tells Pudge, Takumi and Lara about the prank. The Colonel says they need to find a stripper.

  • 84 Days After

    Pudge gets his dad to be a pretend professor of pyschology when the Eagle calls him. His dad said he would love to speak on "Speaker Day". This is part of the prank.

  • 102 Days After

    For the prank, the seniors chipped in money to hire a male stripper. At the assemble the professor (the stripper) starts talking until given the cue to start dancing.

  • 114 Days After

    The Colonel, Takumi and Pudge figure out that Alaska left in a hurry that night because she forgot about the anniversary of her mom's death. So she gets into the car with the flowers and quickly drives to the grave, only to realize she was too late and the day has already past.

  • 118 Days After

    The Colonel and Pudge drive through the scene of the accident.

  • 119 Days After

    The Colonel, Pudge, Lara and Takumi study for their finals.

  • 122 Days After

    Dr. Hyde gives the question for the final for the exam "How will you ever get out of this labyrinth of suffering?"

  • 136 Days After

    Finals are complete and school is coming to a close. Pudge gets a note from Taklumi saying that he also saw Alaska that night and he let her go too. Pudge writes his paper on his way out of the labyrinth.
