Long Term Goal

I will have to decide what career I want to go into and see how long I want to be in work. Some people retire at 40, others retire at 60. I want to retire at age 60.

I need to continue doing good in the career that I chose, I also need to be able to keep the job.

Step 3

Oct 1, 2025

Now that I know what age I will retire at, I next need to plan a budget to save the money that I need. I need to save $35 a week to get to where I want to be.

Step 4

Dec 1, 2035

Now that I know how much I need to spend, I need to know what I am laying back on. I won't get unnecessary things like jewelry or new shoes when I already have some.

Step 5

I need to keep up with my savings and know how much I need over the years (every 5 years I should gain around 10,000)

Retirement

Jan 1, 2063

S: I want to save for retirement
M: Save 75,000
A: I will invest in mutual funds
R: I am giving up being able to spend on shoes and other accessories that I may want.
T: My goal will be reached around 2063 since that is when I will retire.
