Independence for Latin America came between 1806-1825. Once they became independent, they wanted more people to live in their country. -

The end of the slave trade meant that people couldn't just get their slaves sent to them, so many people migrated to places like Africa to force people there to be their slaves. -

People were migrating to try to get away from certain warzones and to try to be safer. -
End of Civil War
When the Civil War ended, people began to move in order to get away from destroyed areas or to go find a new home in a colonzied area.
