    Invented and developed by Thomas Knoll and John Knoll in 1988, Photoshop was released in February 02, 1990 as Photoshop 1.0 exclusively for the Macintosh. Key selling point of Photoshop at its time was the use of the Layer and Mask feature, which allowed users to create high complex and isolated edits without affecting the entire image overall until finalization. Such features became the core for future Photoshop versions.

    Proposed by Tim Berners Lee at CERN in 1989 and released in 1991, the internet was invented with the purpose to build a global information system based on a network of hyperlinked documents comprised of multimedia such as graphics, audio, and video, utilizing Client-Server architecture, HTML, and HTTP. Originally used by big institutions and the military, it was later released to the public. As a result, everyone across the world can create websites, exchange information, and interact online.

The impact of the Linux kernel also led to become one of the largest platforms for companies like Google, Amazon, and Twitter.

    The concept of text messaging was developed in 1984 by Friedhelm Hillebrand and Bernard Ghillebaert in the Franco-German GSM cooperation. In 1992, Neil Papworth, a former developer at Sema Group Telecoms, sent the first text message to Richard Jarvis of Vodafone using a PC keyboard. Eventually, text messaging was later adapted to the Nokia 9000i, which is the first phone to adopt a full keyboard and support SMS.
