    Lithium is a non renewable resource. Lithium is a metal that occurs naturally in the earth and takes a long time to form.

    Lithium is a worldwide resource with a total of about 80 million tons. It is the worlds 25th most abundant element.

  • Natural Capital

    All resources are natural capital, because of everything being from earth whether it is natural or not.Renewable or Non renewable , the resource comes from earth.

  • Lithium uses

    Lithium has been used in the past as medicine and for glass and ceramics. As it is still used for medicine, it is also newly used for batteries. Over time the resource has been used consistently and as time passes by the demand only goes up. Technological factors is a huge part of why the demand has increased.

  • Sustainability

    Sustainability is avoidance of depletion of a natural resource or more simply just the ability to be maintained.

  • Changing of sustainability

    The extraction, transport, and processing of this resource changed its sustainability because of the way lithium is processed. Lithium is a non renewable source so its sustainability has changed over the years.
