    Learning the Alphabet
As a kid, I would always be excited to be learning my alphabet as we used to place the letters in the right place sort of practice. This was fun for me as it was fun moving the blocks of letters around, especially since they were colorful. I would always remember trying to just try and imagine this activity at home.

  • Diary of Wimpy Kid

    Diary of Wimpy Kid
This book was really popular, but this book sort of helped me learn more english. As I was a kid who mostly spoke spanish and was learning english. I was mostly afraid to speak out as I didn't want to be seen as the spanish girl who can't talk in english properly. The pictures with the text helped me understand how to properly use different words in context. I am forever grateful for growing up with this series. This helped me get out of ELL in 5th grade.
  • The Very Hungry Caterpillar Story

    The Very Hungry Caterpillar Story
This story was a solid memory of mine, as I would always be happy whenever a teacher from preschool pulls out this story for story time. It's something about the book being colorful and just seeing the caterpillar on the pages just eating was sort of funny.
  • Book List Tracker Challenge

    Book List Tracker Challenge
In 4th grade, we had this little book list tracker thing that we had to turn in at the end of a few weeks. I was in a mindset that reading was just not fun so I wasn't going to take this seriously at first. That was until I started reading Broken Pride which really reminded me of when I was more into books as a kid.
  • Warrior Series by Eric Hunter

    Warrior Series by Eric Hunter
I started reading this series when in 5th grade we were required to do a book report, I was wondering around not knowing what book to read. I just grabbed this book because of the cover having a cat on it. At first, it was just a random book chosen that I thought I wouldn't have liked. Now its a core memory because I became obsessed with this series and was trying to read all the books. The only issue was my attention span, but I did complete the series, which I am still proud of to this day.
  • Scholastic Book Fair

    Scholastic Book Fair
I remember how in 6th grade we were sent down to the bookfair if you had money, and I remember going down and looking at all the books. Then I picked up some books but one was about vampires trying to discover themselves. Sadly I lost the book before 7th grade and I don't remember the title of it :(. This was one the books that I was fully able to enjoy as a child who refused to read.

The Fear was an amazing book that I picked up last year. Its a story of murder were people mysteriously started dying the way they were afraid to die. I was so intrigued in this book that I realized that I was just into the murder/crime genre and I didn't realize this until last year. Now I'm going to buy more murder/crime books to continue my reading.

Another Story that I'm currently liking
The Juror, so far is an amazing book which demonstrates how it might feel to be on jury duty for a big crime. Although you might not be followed. It might be a possibility as shown in the story, I also love how it goes in depth on the characters feelings and properly demonstrates how the stress would actually affect someone.
