    1st Grade
I remember in 1st Grade one day every week we would do silent reading, and we would prgressively get longer as we would build our stamina.

    2nd Grade
During 2nd Grade my leg was in a brace and I remember having to stay inside for field day, and my friend Matt stayed inside with me and all we did was read books on the computer.

    3rd Grade
One day after recces in 3rd Grade, after being outside playing with the local UNH football players, some of them came into my class and read us a book, and made me realize that even people who play sports that I thought were cool and didn't care about school, that they even read books.
  • 4th Grade

    4th Grade
In the 4th Grade is when I found out about the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series after I watched the movie. I ended up seeing one of the books at our school book fair and that is when I started to read them all, I was hooked.

    Summer Reading
In the summer between 4th and 5th grade I recieved my first summer assignment. We had to pick a book of a list and read it. I ended up choosing "The One and Only Ivan," this ended up being the first book that ever grabbed my attention and I loved it.

    5th Grade
My teacher at Carrigan was Mr. Funarro, and he was in love history. We would always talk about it with each other. Then one day he gave me a recommondation of a war book, I read it, and from there on I was only reading war books for that time.
  • 9th Grade

    9th Grade
In 9th Grade we read "All Quiet On The Western Front," and this was one of the first times that the book I was reading was related to another subject, in this case it was History. This allowed me to view the book in a different way as I knew facts about the war and can use that to help when reading the book.
  • 10th Grade

    10th Grade
In 10th Grade I was hit hard with the work given by Mrs. Plumey. We would have pop quizes on readings almost weekly. We read three books and wrote essays for all of them, but we didn't only do that. We would answer questions on short readings every week.
